Evangelization Program

CEVAC — Evangelization Commission

01

Biblical & Theological Foundations

Evangelization is at the heart of the Christian mandate. Jesus Christ's Great Commission instructs His followers to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching. Scripture also affirms that believers are Christ's witnesses, empowered by the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.

The Apostle Paul emphasized the urgency of preaching: how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? The Bible reminds us that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, calling God's people to prayer and action.

Gospel Urgency

The call to evangelize is especially urgent in Haiti's current context. Haiti faces grave challenges—endemic poverty, violence, political turmoil, and spiritual oppression—that have left many communities in despair.

In this hardship, there is a deep spiritual hunger for hope and meaning. Many Haitians practice a blend of Christianity and traditional folk religion; the lingering influence of voodoo has kept numerous souls in bondage.

By sharing Jesus's message of forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life, evangelization addresses Haiti's deepest needs. It offers hope to the hopeless, peace amid chaos, and moral transformation that can help heal a broken society.

03

Strategic Importance for COPAH's Mission

For COPAH, evangelization is not simply one activity among many—it is strategic to our purpose and long-term vision. COPAH exists to unite and equip Haitian Protestant pastors and leaders for spiritual and social impact.

A focused evangelistic effort also strengthens the Church's witness in society, builds unity across denominations, and sustains the Haitian church by winning and discipling new believers.

04

Program Activities & Initiatives

1
Training & Equipping: Workshops, seminars, and conferences to train pastors, evangelists, and lay leaders in evangelism and discipleship.
2
Mobilization of Churches: Rally COPAH member churches to active outreach through prayer networks, evangelistic teams, and resource sharing.
3
Outreach Campaigns: Open-air crusades, revival meetings, marketplace evangelism, door-to-door visits, and personal witnessing—paired with acts of love such as clinics and feeding programs.
4
Cross-Regional Efforts: Coordinate outreach across all regions via regional coordinators, share learnings nationally, and deploy joint teams to unreached areas.
5
Partnerships & Cross-Cultural Outreach: Collaborate with international partners and the Haitian diaspora for training, funding, prayer, and two-way mission efforts.

05

Target Audiences & Areas of Focus

Unreached / Underserved Communities:

Remote villages and urban neighborhoods with little evangelical presence, often influenced by folk practices.

Youth & Students:

Campus outreach, youth rallies, and mentoring to meet the next generation amid poverty, disrupted education, and gang pressures.

Urban Centers & High-Risk Areas:

Inner-city districts and displacement camps where crime and despair are pervasive.

Rural & Isolated Regions:

Send teams to provinces historically neglected, opening doors to holistic ministry alongside the gospel.

Haitian Diaspora:

Reach Haitians abroad (U.S., DR, Canada, etc.) and engage diaspora churches to support evangelism in Haiti.

06

Measurable Goals & Timeline

1

Train at least 100 pastors/evangelists per year; 500+ leaders equipped within five years.

2

Conduct quarterly evangelistic campaigns in each of Haiti's ten departments (~40 events per year).

3

By end of year 3, reach at least 50 new localities (events, Bible groups, new churches, or ongoing presence).

4

Launch nationwide youth evangelism and establish active youth ministries in 20+ member churches within two years.

5

By 2026, form partnerships with Haitian Christian communities in at least 5 countries for joint projects.

6

Produce evangelistic media to reach ~100,000 people in year one, with follow-up channels to local churches.

Progress will be tracked by COPAH's Evangelization Commission with regular reports and adaptive planning.

07

Alignment with COPAH's Statutes

COPAH's statutes affirm the Conference's purpose to work for the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to establish commissions necessary to carry out this vision.

The Evangelization Program, under CEVAC, stands on strong organizational footing and embodies COPAH's core identity—supporting pastors and advancing Christ's kingdom throughout Haiti.
