Dorvila Normil is a man of faith and conviction, deeply committed to serving God and his community. Pastor, theologian, administrator, and lawyer, he is above all a servant of the living God, driven by a sincere desire to see the Church and society grow in unity, justice, and hope.
As director of the Mission Église Évangélique Chrétienne de la Rédemption in Haiti, he accompanies and supports congregations established in Port-au-Prince, Sarthe, Bon Repos (Lilavois), Desarmes (Artibonite), Maïssade (Plateau Central), Grand-Goâve, Léogâne, Jacmel, Côte-de-Fer, Les Cayes (Arniquet), and Beaumont. His ministry is distinguished by his closeness to the faithful, his ongoing commitment to leadership formation, and his particular attention to families and younger generations.
A founding member, former president, and current member of the executive council of the Conference of Haitian Pastors (COPAH), he has worked with determination to strengthen pastoral unity and promote responsible Christian leadership in the face of national challenges.
Trained at the Evangelical Theology Seminary of Port-au-Prince, he also pursued university studies in administrative management at INAGHEI and law at the School of Law and Economic Sciences in Gonaïves. His career includes service in public administration, notably at the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad, the National Cadastre Office, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
After twenty years in Canada, where he worked as a nurse, he gained rich and diverse human experience. Married and the father of four children, Dorvila Normil remains a humble, approachable, and deeply committed man, dedicating his life to God, the Church, and the service of his nation.
